With our easy to understand pricing plan, you know exactly where you stand and there are no surprises or hidden costs. We put a time limit on jobs, so that we can plan our appointments and keep our prices as low as possible.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY

Payment

All bookings and payments are made through our booking office. Our drivers do not handle any cash. Payment can be made by debit or credit card, or by bank transfer. Our booking office can be reached on: 07938 585 025

To make a firm booking we require full payment for the first 2 hours, our minimum booking is for 2 hours. As soon as your booking is made, drivers and vehicles are allocated to your job, for this reason all bookings are subject to our cancellation policy.

Cancellations

Cancellations have a considerable cost implication for us. When jobs are cancelled, we may sometimes still have to pay our drivers and operatives because their time has been booked for that day, and we may have turned down other work to facilitate your booking, for these reasons we have had to  implement a cancellation charge of £50

Because of the £50 cancellation charge, we strongly advise all our customers to double check their dates and not to make a booking until they are absolutely sure of the date they require our services. If you need to provisionally enquire about availability during a certain period, please give us a call.

If you do have to cancel your booking, and cancellation is actioned 24 hours before your booking time, you will receive a refund minus the £50 cancellation fee.  Cancellations must be made during office hours and with 24 hours notice.

If, on the day of your booking, after you have paid the total booking cost, and our operatives have set off to do your job, and for some reason you then have to cancel, then you will not be entitled to any refund. This is because our drivers have been booked in for these payroll hours and will need to be paid and also our vehicle is booked out for the time slot of your booking.

If we have to cancel your booking for any unforeseen circumstance, we will refund your complete booking cost.

Tips on keeping down the cost of your move, and making it run smoothly.

Have everything packed and ready to be loaded on to the van, this will help to keep your costs down by saving time. If you have packed boxes, please remember to label them clearly, so that boxes containing breakable or fragile items can be placed at the top of a pile of boxes and not at the bottom.

Please identify any fragile items or items with movable or detachable parts.

We carry blankets and straps on our vehicles, but your fragile items should ideally be wrapped or packaged before we arrive.

Parking

If possible, please block a space for us to park outside the pick up and drop off addresses, so that we can park as near to the property as possible.  Our Luton vans need approximately 6.5 metres of space to park with the tail lift down, and our Jumbo transits need a similar space.

There must be somewhere legal for us to park our vehicle when we arrive to pick up, and drop off your things. If there is no where legal to park, prior permission should be obtained from the council for us to park up outside the property, this may include having  residents only parking bays outside the pick up or drop off address suspended for the day of your move.

Please inform us at the time of making your booking, if there are any parking issues at either the pick up or drop off addresses. If we are forced to park illegally outside either the pick up address or drop off address, and the customer has instructed us to do this, and parking fines are incurred, the customer will be liable for the price of the parking fine. Of course, we will do our very best to avoid any such situation, and speak to any traffic wardens if they attend. Our aim is to keep your costs down.

Booking extra time

If on the day of your job, you find that you need us for extra time beyond the time of your booking, please call the office to arrange extra time. Our operatives are not authorised to book extra time on jobs. In some instances our van and operatives will be due on another job, and will need to leave on time, other times, the van and operatives will be available to work extra time at your job. If we do have to leave a job at the end of the booking time, but you need us for longer, we will do our best to find you a slot later the same day, if this can be arranged, the customer will be entitled to extra time at the subsequent hours rate. If extra time can only be allocated on another day, the booking will be treated as a new booking and the “First 2 Hours” charge will be applicable as per our price list.

Our Service

Many removals firms use large Heavy goods vehicles to move your things, these vehicles are very expensive to operate and maintain and these costs are reflected in the prices removals firms charge. We use panel vans and Luton vans, this helps us to keep the costs down, these savings are passed on to our customers and are reflected in our easy to understand pricing plan.

We work just like removals firms; we pick up your things from one location and drop them off at another location that you specify. Our operatives will place furniture in the rooms required at the delivery address.

Dismantling and rebuilding furniture.

Our pricing plan does not include the dismantling and rebuilding of any furniture, only the removal of it.

Some furniture, e.g. double wardrobes that may have been built in-situ will not normally fit through doorways or down staircases without being dismantled.

We do not normally dismantle or rebuild furniture and wardrobes because of the inherent risk of damage, and the risk of something not going back together properly. All furniture that needs to be dismantled should ideally be dismantled before our operatives arrive.

By having things ready to move when our operatives arrive you will be saving time and getting the best value for money. Our service is aimed at keeping the cost of your move down.
